Your profile
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative geospatial products and services. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with a talented team of engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and drive technical excellence in every stage of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack solutions for geospatial applications using modern technologies.
- Contribute to the architecture and coding of scalable, modular geospatial solutions.
- Build intuitive user interfaces and efficient back-end systems for mapping and location-based services.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Conduct code reviews, implement testing practices, and ensure adherence to high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to continuously enhance our tech stack.
- Ensure application security and compliance with modern data security standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and frameworks such as React.
- Experience with geospatial tools like Mapbox, PostGIS, GDAL/OGR or similar technologies.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying scalable applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices for maintainable, reliable code.
- Experience in architecting modular, reusable solutions, ideally for geospatial or data-heavy applications.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with geospatial libraries such as Mapbox GL, MapLibre GL, Leaflet JS, or OpenLayers.
- Understanding of spatial data concepts like vector/raster tiling and handling large datasets.
- Previous experience in Scrum or other agile development methodologies
